Skill Faire comes around every winter. This is typically an all day event with food, live entertainment, seminars, and plenty of tech portfolios and demos. A select audience gets a chance work with our Mentors and Apprentices around hot forges, fast engines, and heavy metal.  This leaves us no choice but to create a waiting list. Limiting the number of participants helps to ensure the safety of all involved.

Avalanche a.k.a. MSL Sigma Squad is an evolving team comprised of Military Simulation League Champions. It acts as a hall of fame for those who've led their teams to victory. Avalanche also functions as a think tank for forward thinking simulation tactics and technology to be shared with the greater AVA culture.

Although there are many AVA auxiliaries, only DeadTech makes itself available to the general public. While all of our auxiliaries offer services, they are typically exclusive to AVA apprentices and mentors. It's our hope that other AVA auxiliaries can create helpful programs for their local community outside of the Active Veteran Academy. However, certain AVA protocols are to be followed and specific criteria met before this can happen. Now that the DeadTech Training model is a reference for success, expect others to follow.

Before AVA apprentices learn anything, they become familiar with the forge. This introduction to blacksmithing is a crude foundation for DT higher learning. Building new confidence in beginner blacksmiths is prerequisite to forming our network of artisans. We guide each apprentice through the production of four useful items over the course of four weeks. Upon completion of the greencoal course they have access to local facilities for as long as they maintain general respect and organization on the premises.

Aspie One is the world’s first autonomous Aspian community. This new home for our high functioning apprentices and mentors allows us to eliminate incompatible, neurotypical social queues/noise from the Aspergers community. The growth of new, compatible social queues upon a foundation of Aspian values is something that grows organically after the community calibrates to the new environment.

High functioning individuals don’t typically prefer or need the same forms of social validation that the neurotypical majority are known to rely on. We simply eliminate these queues to reduce social noise and bring clarity. This clarity serves to reveal potential not only within the Aspian community, but also uncovers hidden qualities within the contrasting neurotypical society. The Aspian community thinks wildly outside, or inside the box depending on how you look at it. Sometimes they have good ideas, sometimes the ideas are bad just the same as the Neurotypical. However, Aspian ideas always seem to be legitimately new. This brings us to innovations we’ve never had the opportunity to experience.

It’s their hope to bring a new peace of mind and quality of life to humanity, but the current NT social climate makes this impossible. The Aspian community wishes to experiment within its own infrastructure under its own authority and through its own self determination to achieve new results customary to Aspian shared culture.  AVA is determined to provide them with this opportunity.
